Learn more about Vail Health [here](*About the opportunity:*Assumes responsibility for the safe transport of injured or ill skiers from the local ski areas to the Emergency Department or Emergency Services Clinic. Provides care for all patient types based on age specific criteria.*What you will do:** Maintains radio and cell phone communication with Ski Patrol throughout shift. Coordinates with Ski Patrol for safe patient hand off. * Follows criteria for patient types who may be transported via skier transport versus ambulance transport. Safely transports appropriate patients to the Emergency Department.* Exhibits safe driving skills and reports any Skier Transport vehicle issues in a timely manner. Exhibits proper care of vehicles and equipment. * Demonstrates clinical knowledge in all patient types and age groups to meet patient care needs/outcomes within the practice. Displays cultural competency and ability to work with diverse patient populations.* Maintains diagnostic and medication logs as required by policy. Documents patient care services accurately in patient and department records. * Protects patients and employees by assisting in maintaining a clean, safe working environment, and adhering to infection control policies and protocols.* Role models the principles of a Just Culture.* Perform other duties as assigned.
