Overview:
Responsible for assisting other craft workers in the assembly, mechanical completion, repair, maintenance and QC of Wind Turbines. In addition, SKL-Ts may be assigned other tasks as needed during construction of wind projects including any foundation, offload or erection activities.
Responsibilities:
- Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and procedures
- Complete all required Safety documentation
- Climb wind turbines daily and perform activities required to assemble and mechanically complete wind turbines
- Uses taglines to control suspended loads during assembly of wind turbine components
- Bolts, nails, aligns, screws, torques, tensions parts associated with wind turbine construction
- Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement and adjustment of machinery to load, offload, push and pull
- Position, join, align and connect pumps, motors and other mechanical or metal parts inside a wind turbine
- Mop, brush or spread paints or bituminous compounds over surfaces for protection
- Spray materials such as water, sand, steam, vinyl, paint or stucco through hose to clean, coat or seal surfaces
- Apply caulking compounds by hand or with caulking gun to seal crevices
- Grind, sand or polish surfaces such as concrete and steel, using abrasive tools or machines
- Perform tasks involving use of hands and tools such as torquing/tensioning bolts and studs, assembling metal parts, building bolt cages, vibrating concrete, sawing lumber, dismantling forms, removing forms from concrete, and demolitions, cleanup, use of jackhammers, etc.
- May be required to travel to different jobsites on limited notice

Qualifications:
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and six to twelve months of related experience in construction
- Or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Training and Certifications:
- Tower Rescue Training
- Wanzek Climb Training preferred
- LOTO
- Tool Drop
- Confined Space
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Take reasonable care of your own and others health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward Wanzeks Zero Injury principles
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's; ability to perform these operations using units, weight measurement and volume
- Ability to understand units of force, pressure and torque and apply appropriate tooling adjustments for each
- Common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form
- Be able to work within precise standards of accuracy and follow set procedures and standards
