POSITION SUMMARY:

At Emerald Towers by Scenic Stays, we are offering an exciting position as our Lead Maintenance Technician in beautiful Destin, Florida.

We need a Skilled Maintenance Tech to maintain the property's condition and functionality. As the lead, you will supervise at least one maintenance technician, working either collaboratively or independently to ensure our beautiful resort shines inside and out.

We're looking for someone versatile who can easily switch from task to task.

In vacation rental maintenance, you'll tackle various projects, including painting, carpentry, setting up new installations, and ensuring the landscaping is always tidy. This job requires a practical mindset and a sharp eye for detail. To succeed, you'll need to be self-driven and able to work well with others.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience preferred
  • Supervision: Oversee and schedule HOA maintenance and common area staff.
  • Coordination: Work directly with the HOA manager and board of directors on property projects.
  • Mechanical Systems: Inspect and repair mechanical systems to meet health and safety standards.
  • Electrical Maintenance: Perform electrical maintenance tasks, including replacing bulbs, sockets and repairing circuit breaker panels.
  • System Repairs: Assist with ventilation, refrigeration, heating, and plumbing system maintenance.
  • General Upkeep: Handle alarm system inspections, manual repairs, pest control, landscaping, and other tasks as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience as a maintenance supervisor and technician
  • Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems with knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
  • Must be customer service driven, able to interact with guests, owners, vendors and coworkers professionally
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and willingness to work overtime
  • Driver's license required
  • High school diploma or equivalent and a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license required
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is preferred but not required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to stand, sit, and walk for the majority of the day
  • Good physical condition, able to apply physical skills, including bending, stretching, reaching, grabbing, holding, and carrying.
  • Regularly push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Able to climb ladders and stairs

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Hourly Wage: $22 - $26 per hour based on experience and achievement

Bonus: Holiday bonuses as determined by the HOA Board of Directors
