summary Looking for a skilled Machine Operator with mechanic and trouble shooting capabilities to lead team for Rain Bird sprinklers in the city of Azusa. $24 - $33 POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Under limited supervision sets up and operates major automated assembly and packaging machines. Completes routine machine setups, changeovers, parts loading and performs preventive maintenance. Troubleshoots machine malfunctions, corrects routine problems and replaces defective machine components, but refers complex problems and/or programming changes to a technician Responsible for safety and housekeeping for the respective work areas Performs quality checks and production reporting in PeopleSoft and other Rain Bird systems Realizes accurate material transfers and assists cycle counting and resolution of inventory issues Capable of performing all Assembler and Production Machine Operator roles and requirements Assists Production Manager and Supervisor to achieve day to day safety, quality and production goal Trains, monitors and coordinates the work of temps and other operators MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma 3+ years of high volume manufacturing experience with automated machines Proven skills to set-up, troubleshoot and startup automated assembly and packaging machines Ability to perform weekly PM on equipment Effective communication skills Ability to effectively understand and work with PLC interfaces Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions Computer literate (Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft/MRP, Databases etc.) Ability to train others Excellent team player POSITION PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES & MEASUREMENT: Safety: ensure a safe work environment as measured by safety audits, the number of reported injuries and prompt resolution of near misses and corrective actions related to the assigned equipment and work cells Training: progress workers from new hire through to the certified worker level.
