Job Description:
Stonebrook Exterior is seeking a skilled and experienced Mason to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining various masonry structures, including walls, foundations, chimneys, and other surfaces. As a Skilled Mason, you will work with materials such as brick, stone, concrete, and other masonry elements, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship that aligns with project specifications and safety standards.Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
  • Lay bricks, concrete blocks, stones, and other masonry units to construct and repair structures, including buildings, walls, sidewalks, and other forms.
  • Mix, prepare, and apply mortar or other bonding materials.
  • Measure and mark surfaces to ensure accurate and level installation.
  • Cut and shape bricks, stones, or blocks to fit specific measurements or design requirements.
  • Install chimneys, fireplaces, and other masonry features as needed.
  • Perform structural repairs on masonry elements to maintain integrity and appearance.
  • Ensure all work complies with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and other construction team members to ensure efficient project completion.
  • Maintain and clean masonry tools and equipment after each use.
  • Monitor the condition of materials and report any shortages or damages to supervisors.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a mason or in a similar role.
  • Proven experience with bricklaying, stone setting, concrete finishing, and other masonry techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with construction materials, tools, and equipment related to masonry work.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce precise, level, and structurally sound masonry work.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Knowledge of industry safety standards and practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
