Position Type: Summer ProgramsDate Posted: 3/20/2024Location: DistrictDate Available: 07/01/2024Job Title: SLAMS Interventionist Location: Wesley Elementary School or Beman Middle School Broad Function: The SLAMS Interventionist, reporting to the SLAMS Coordinator, will plan and implement will plan and implement Interdisciplinary Literacy instruction including Science, Social Studies, & Math for students entering grades 3-5 or 6-8 Responsibilities and Duties: Develop Balanced Literacy lessons for students to include specialized reading routines that include a Fundations, comprehension skills, & math fluency component; Supervise students daily during breakfast and lunch in the classroom; Collect and analyze student data; Communicate student progress to their parents/guardians regularly throughout program; Complete an end of program progress report for each student worked with; Promote positive behavior during all activities and transitions through effective implementation of SEL strategies; Assist Academy Coordinator in morning drop off and afternoon transition; Manage behavior issues/concerns in accordance with established behavior policies; Other duties as assigned by the SLAMS Coordinator.
