Overview We are looking for a motivated, resourceful, customer-driven Sleep Apnea Coordinator Assistant to join our dental team. This position serves as a welcoming presence to all patients, vendors, and guests while offering day-to-day expertise in practice-level functions. This role is provided direction and responsibility for various administrative and clinical tasks daily by the Sleep Apnea Coordinator and management staff. Willing to train the right candidate. Schedule: Monday 8am-4pm, Tuesday 8am-4pm, Wednesday 8am-2pm, Friday 8am-2pmDuties/Responsibilities
- Maintain meticulous records to ensure all provider, insurance, and patient accounts are recorded and posted correctly, including scanning/uploading charts in software system.
- Schedule and confirm sleep apnea patient appointments to maximize the provider schedules, and ensure they meet insurance requirements and medical necessity criteria.
- Collaborate with referring offices.
- Present treatment plans and financial responsibilities effectively to patients.
- Address patient concerns while remaining calm, effective, and even-tempered in high-pressure circumstances.
- Track orders for oral appliances and coordinate timely appointments for patients.
- Monitor inventory and incoming/outgoing medical equipment.
- Maintain a positive and professional image, both individually and within the workspace.
- Consistently meet the expectations of the Sleep Apnea Coordinator, Practice Management Team, and practice needs.
- Monitor social media as needed.
- Other assigned duties and responsibilities by management.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Medical/dental office experience preferred, but not required
- Sleep Apnea experience preferred, but not required
- Dentrix experience strongly preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Adhere to OSHA guidelines, HIPAA Privacy Policy, and operating procedures
- Facility with Microsoft Office and dental practice management software
- Positively contribute to a respectful and collaborative working environment with coworkers
- Facilitate patient comfort, care and satisfaction consistently
- Willingness to advance skills through continuing education opportunities
- Present to work during scheduled shifts
