The Slitter Exit Operator is responsible for operating equipment to roll stainless steel coils. The Slitter Exit Operator must be able to stand and walk for 12 hours a day and lift up to 100 pounds in the plant. You Will Enjoy

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Follow all safety rules and work instructions provided while operating the exit of the slitter line
  • Thread the steel strip to the tension reel
  • Insert cardboard cores and interleaving paper as needed
  • Change inner diameter plates as needed
  • Setup and install separator rolls as needed
  • Band all scrap and divisions that come off of the tension reel
  • Cut samples whenever the inspection teams request them
  • Perform all assigned maintenance and housekeeping functions
  • Participate in the continuous improvement programs designed for Finishing Lines
  • Participate in 6S initiatives on the Finishing Lines
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Must be able to read and speak the English language
  • Must be able to pass a drug test, physical examination, and a background check
  • Must be able to stand and walk for up to 12 hours a day
  • Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds
  • Must be able to see well with or without correction
Education/Experience
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED required
