JOB SUMMARY: The Slots Supervisor is responsible for monitoring and supervising the daily Casino floor operations on a specific shift for slots, ensuring that courteous and prompt service is provided by all employees.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Directly responsible for training Slot Attendants, providing each with the knowledge and appropriate direction to perform his/her responsibilities.
- Exhibits sound decision-making qualities, motivates personnel, and exhibits effective supervisory skills.
- Possesses a thorough working knowledge of the various types of slot machines, their functions, malfunctions, and payout schedules.
- Responsible for all slot services functions and employees.
- Possesses knowledge of the gaming rules and regulations.
- Routinely strives to build and maintain rapport with Slot players and handles customer disputes, making every effort to achieve customer satisfaction.
- Exercises appropriate discretion to identify situations that require the attention of management.
- Observes, supervises, and countersigns hand paid jackpots.
- Familiar with the federal currency transaction reporting guidelines and implements the same.
- Oversees all jackpots to ensure the prompt and accurate execution of every transaction.
- Completes daily personnel assignments and reassigns personnel on the floor based on business volume.
- Observes all personnel in the performance of their duties.
- Builds a rapport and coordinates daily functions with support service departments.
- Coordinates with Security to detect and prevent attempts to cheat or damage slot machines and to identify floor irregularities to the Slot Shift Manager.
- Ensures timely and accurate evaluations are given to direct reports with appropriate development plans, providing each with clear directives needed to meet departmental standards and achieve departmental and company goals.
- Acts as a role model and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars and encourages others to do the same. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma required. Must possess strong supervisory and leadership skills. Must have strong knowledge of the various internal written and verbal codes/abbreviations.
- Must project professionalism and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous knowledge of casino rules, regulations and procedures pertinent to Slot operations is required.
- Slot or Beverage experience preferred but previous supervisory experience is acceptable.
- Must have the ability to make quick decisions and have the ability to train, follow and execute training manuals.
- Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team. Must present a well-groomed appearance.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds. Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items.
- Must be able to walk and be on feet for long periods of time (up to and including 85% walking on the floor). Must have a sense of urgency and keep up with fast paced business practices.
- Must be able to work in stressful situations.
- Must possess basic math skills.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
