Full Time, Hybrid Schedule -- 1-2 days working from homeEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Assesses students' communication skills (e.g. articulations,fluency, voice, expressive and receptive language, etc.) for the purpose ofidentifying communication disorders, determining program eligibility anddeveloping recommendations for treatmentCollaborates with a variety of groups and/or individuals forthe purpose of communicating information, resolving issues and providingservices in compliance with established guidelinesCoordinates meetings and processes for eligible students(e.g. testing/screening, IEPs, parent conferences, pre-referral staffing, etc.)for the purpose of presenting evaluation results, developing treatment plans,and/or providing training to parents/students/staffDevelops treatment plans, interventions and/or educationalmaterials for the purpose of minimizing the adverse impact of communicationdisorders in compliance with regulatory requirementsInstructs eligible students in the use of appropriatecommunication technologies (e.g. hearing aids, FM systems, augmentativecommunication devices, etc.)Maintains files and/or records (e.g. progress reports,activity logs, billing information, treatment plans, required documentation,quarterly reports, screening results, etc.)Participates in meetings, workshops, and seminars (e.g.training, IEPs, team meetings, etc.)Provides speech and language therapy to students for thepurpose of minimizing the adverse impact of speech and language disorders onstudent success • Seeks appropriate in-service and professionaldevelopmentPerforms other duties as assigned/necessaryMinimum Requirements:Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in thestate of assignment requiredCertificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-LanguagePathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract.Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpracticeParticipation and completion of Amergis' Competency programwhen applicableCurrent CPR if applicableTB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicableCurrent Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)Must meet all federal, state and local requirementsSuccessful completion of new hire training as applicable tojob siteUnderstand patient confidentiality and HIPAArequirementsAbility to effectively elicit/provide information to andfrom appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors,co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in theEnglish language is requiredComputer proficiency requiredMust be at least 18 years of ageBenefitsAt Amergis, we firmly believe that our employees are the heartbeat of our organization and we are happy to offer the following benefits:Competitive pay & weekly paychecksHealth, dental, vision, and life insurance401(k) savings planAwards and recognition programs*Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status.About AmergisAmergis, formerly known as Maxim Healthcare Staffing, has served our clients and communities by connecting people to the work that matters since 1988.
