Smartsheets Configuration AnalystLocation: Newark, New Jersey Full-time, Hybrid - Up to 3 days in the officeCARIAN is growing! We are a proud, nationally certified woman-owned management consulting firm providing program management and business intelligence services to electric utilities. Our team supports large-scale energy and infrastructure projects by optimizing processes and using advanced tools for effective project execution. We are currently seeking a Smartsheets Configuration Analyst to support our project teams by configuring and managing Smartsheets solutions tailored to our clients' needs. We seek a detail-oriented and analytical Smartsheets Configuration Analyst to join our team. This role is critical in supporting our client by analyzing large datasets, developing reports, creating and modifying workflows. The ideal candidate will have a strong background and knowledge in data analysis, Project Management, and familiarity with collaboration tools. The candidate will need the ability to translate requirements into reports and data insight development processes. The Smartsheets Configuration Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing the Smartsheet platform to meet organizational needs efficiently.Positions at CARIAN are full-time roles, which include comprehensive and competitive benefits (medical, dental, and vision), 401(k) matching, and the opportunity to work with a growing company.Responsibilities
  • System Configuration: Setting up and configuring Smartsheet workspaces, sheets, templates, and workflows according to business requirements.
  • Integration Management: Integrating Smartsheet with other systems and applications to ensure seamless data flow and interoperability.
  • Customization: Customizing Smartsheet forms, reports, dashboards, and automation rules to enhance usability and productivity.
  • User Training and Support: Providing training sessions and creating documentation to educate users on Smartsheet functionalities and best practices.
  • Workflow Automation: Designing and implementing automated processes using Smartsheet automation features, such as alerts, notifications, and approval workflows.
  • Data Management: Ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and security within Smartsheet, including access controls and permissions management.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitoring Smartsheet performance metrics, identifying bottlenecks or areas for improvement, and implementing optimizations.
  • Consulting and Collaboration: Collaborating with stakeholders across departments to understand requirements and provide consultancy on Smartsheet capabilities.
  • Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Addressing user issues, investigating system errors or bugs, and providing timely resolutions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Staying updated with Smartsheet updates and new features, evaluating their potential benefits, and implementing improvements to maximize platform effectiveness.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Project Management, Business Analysis, Data handling and development, or a similar role that involves using collaboration tools, preferably within the energy or utilities sector.
  • Smartsheet Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Smartsheet, including its features, functions, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly and concisely.
  • Understanding of data integration and API usage.
  • Familiarity with other tools in the project management ecosystem (e.g., Jira, Trello, Microsoft Project).
  • Ability to analyze business processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues within Smartsheet configurations.
