Details Client NameURMC Strong Memorial Hospital Job TypeTravel OfferingAllied ProfessionRadiology SpecialtyCT Tech Job ID29873293 Job TitleSMH Allied Level 2 CT Tech - Weekend Overnights Weekly Pay$2780.0 Shift Details ShiftDay - 12x3 - 07AM Scheduled Hours36 Job Order Details Start Date01/06/2025 End Date04/05/2025 Duration13 Week(s) Job Description Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: Allied Health Professional Specialty: Computed Tomography (CT) Tech Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Weekend Overnights Hours per Shift: 12.0 Experience: 2 Years License: CT Tech License (NY ONLY) Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) Must-Have: Two years of Level 1 Trauma Experience, Siemens Scanner Experience Description: A CT Technologist is needed for weekend overnights.The schedule is Friday to Sunday from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with holidays, on-call, and callback as needed.Duties include confirming patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan.Adhere strictly to department policy and procedure for patient safety.Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable.Insert IVs when necessary for the test.Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility.Must utilize safe patient handling.Maintain accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within the EPIC system.Ensure that images are identified and sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion.Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology is required.Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.New York State licensure must be obtained prior to starting the position.Injection certification is preferred and must be completed during the orientation process.Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment is preferred.Effective written and verbal communication skills are required.The candidate should have a patient and compassionate disposition.A team player who can maintain a cohesive working environment is essential.
