Areas of Emphasis: - Administer oral contrast as required per exam. - Instruct and prepare patients for radiographic/fluoroscopic examinations and assist radiologists during procedures. - Demonstrate competence and proficiency in operating x-ray equipment, CR, and DR systems. - Report equipment malfunctions to the manager or lead. - Complete all assigned procedures promptly and use time between procedures to benefit the department by assisting others, performing clerical duties, stocking, and transporting. - Understand the role in maintaining medication security, accessible to authorized personnel only. - Demonstrate competency in providing healthcare services to all age groups in own job category. Documentation/Information Management: - Demonstrate competency in the use of the Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS. - Participate in hospital performance improvement activities like BPI projects and task forces when warranted. - Maintain confidentiality by using an individual password for all patient care modules. - Answer telephone inquiries of a technical nature from physicians or hospital personnel with good phone etiquette.
