Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00AM to 3:30PMJob Description:The SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Machine Operator is responsible for ensuring the company's SMT, screen printer, reflow oven, and selective soldering machines are running correctly and efficiently. Nitek fully updated its productionequipment in 2021 and 2022 and needs an operator comfortable working independently and with minimal direction to build prototypes, legacy assemblies, and full production builds. The ideal candidate should be flexible, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to complete daily responsibilities with limited supervision. This job can be temporary and evolve into a full-time position.Ideally, this person can hit the ground running, will make an immediate impact, and is interested in an extended, multi-year role where they can make a significant contribution to the growth and success of Nitek.Key Responsibilities:Set-up and operate automated SMT assembly equipment including Screen Printer, Glue Dispensing Machine, Pick and Place Machine, and Reflow OvenSet up and organize SMT stencils, load pick and place machine, and initiate proper job profilesPick components, prepare reel and trays for production, and replenish parts as neededProperly clean boards and perform basic soldering and rework of SMT componentsVisually inspect product out of the reflow oven and rework as neededMonitor equipment efficiency and perform required preventive maintenanceWork closely with Engineering to identify and implement production improvementsWork closely with Engineering to help write and maintain production, assembly, and test proceduresWork closely with Engineering to identify and address production, assembly, and test issuesMaintain a clean and ESD safe environmentKey Requirements:GED or High school diplomaMinimum 3 years experience in electronics manufacturing environment, SMT assembly, and solderingFamiliarity with Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) electronic components and SMT assembly processTeam player with a strong sense of urgency to meet goals on scheduleCritical thinker with excellent analytical skills and strong problem-solving ability who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrives in a fast-moving, hands-on environmentExceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including writing, speaking, and active listeningHigh energy level, positive, and enthusiasticAbility to lift 40lbs. to 50lbs.Basic computer proficiencyEqual Opportunity EmployerNitek International LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
