- Responsible for the snow plowing and snow removal operations at the resort, including ensuring slick surfaces are covered with traction material.
- Snow removal using shovels and blowers
- Throwing salt on walkways and parking lots.
- Perform a variety of manual labor tasks often including shoveling or blowing snow; usually in inclement weather for long periods of time.
- Safely and efficiently operate all equipment used by the snow removal team, including but not limited to Bobcats, snow blowers, plow trucks, backhoe, front end loader, Mack dump truck.
- Inspect equipment on regularly scheduled basis. Comply with safety precautions.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance/repair tasks, such as changing vehicle fluids, fueling, greasing, painting, etc.
- Provide the safest possible surfaces for our guests and employees to drive and walk on.
- Provide excellent internal and external guest service.
- Monitor all equipment and make sure that all issues are communicated and addressed promptly.
- Responsible for routine vehicle checks daily.
- Responsible for tire chain removal / installation and repairs.
- Ability to work unsupervised with a task list required.
- Follows all safety rules, policies, and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job SpecificationsCompetencies:
- A valid driver's license.
- Clear and concise verbal communication skills.
- Must follow safety regulations and wear proper safety equipment (gloves, goggles, and boots, layered clothing )

Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
Physical & Other Requirements:
- Ability to exert moderately heavy (up to 50 pounds) physical effort in moderate to heavy work, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to operate equipment and machinery requiring monitoring multiple conditions and making multiple, complex, and rapid adjustments, such as snowplow, sander, dump truck, tractor, front end loader, drill press, welder, common hand and power tools, welder/cutting torch, chain saw, weed trimmer, hydraulic jacks, shovel, ax, rakes, brooms, and forks.
- Ability to coordinate eyes, hands, feet, and limbs in performing highly skilled movements such as operating heavy equipment.
- Able to work for extended periods of time in varying temperatures and weather.
- Evenings, weekends and holidays are a regular part of the schedule.
- Must have excellent attendance and conduct record for consideration.
- Minimum 18 years old.
- Must have unrestricted and insurable driving record.
- Non-smoking candidates preferred.
