Crossroads, the leader in women's recovery treatment in Maine, is adding to its continuum and embarking on a new and exciting endeavor! Supporting women in their recovery is what we do with passion, successfully supporting women in our communities for 50 years. We are excited to launch our Sober Living residence in honor of one of our founders, Adele Donovan. Adele's Place will be an embracing landing place for women transitioning from their residential program. This supportive environment will provide the safety and structure for women who are seeking a home to focus on their continued journey in remembering who they wanted to be. We are seeking to partner with a strong, responsible, and accountable woman with the desire to support women in their recovery journey to join our team as the House Manager of Adele's Place. This compensated volunteer position will benefit from the support of our residential program management as they manage the day to-day oversite of the house. The right person for this role is secure in their sobriety and committed in their endeavor to help uplift women navigating their recovery journey. Responsibilities:
- Live on site and maintain reliable oversite of the day-to-day house
- Foster a cohesive, safe, and structured environment, requiring accountability to rules for all house residents
- Assist with the introduction and onboarding of new residents
- Report significant concerns, incidents, emergencies or major violations to Crossroads management immediately
- Address and support accountability, conflict resolution, and/or behavioral concerns
- Coordinate and participate in random drug and alcohol screenings
- Perform room checks to ensure adherence to house rules
- Conduct regular house meetings to address concerns, review expectations, and support cohesive communication
- Maintain records of house logs, to include medication logs and required documentation
- Provide guidance and encouragement to residents in their recovery journey
- Maintain confidentiality of individuals residing in the house
- Model the values of Crossroads in all interactions
Requirements:
- One+ years of sobriety (preferred two or more)
- Knowledge of recovery curriculums and framework
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills with the ability to manage a diverse group of women navigating recovery
- Connection to recovery community and resources
- Ability to assess and support emergency situations with supportive presence
Compensation:

The house manager should maintain consistent employment or community engagement in accordance with the house expectations while maintaining a consistent and supportive presence.
