Candidates who bring diversity to our team are encouraged to apply.PURPOSE OF POSITION:A Social Case Worker I, Intake at Catholic Charities:
  • Conducts intake and orientation of new participants, including completing required forms and assessments and providing tours to new intakes.
  • Accurately and promptly completes all required documentation/data, including entering relevant participant information in daily logs before ending shift assignment.
  • Accurately enters and maintains enrollments in HMIS and ETO databases. Audits databases to ensure high quality of data. Develops and maintains appropriate records, statistics and documentation of services to participants.
  • Assists participants in navigating on-site services including mental health services, case management, and programming.
  • May complete additional assessments, including, but not limited, status update assessments, needs assessments and coordinated entry assessments.
  • Assesses and refers participants to the appropriate level of care within the continuum of Catholic Charities Shelter programs.
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS
  • Spanish fluency preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with clients, other employees, organizations and the public are required.
  • Flexible and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capacity to identify participant barriers to activities of daily living.
  • Ability to use computer to enter participant's information into case files and compile program statistics, fax machine, copier, telephone and motor vehicle.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree (BA/BS) from accredited four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:Salary: $23.00/hr., $1/hr. bilingual differential. Full Time. Tuesday-Friday 10am-8:30pmTraining: We provide a robust training curriculum that will support our employees throughout their career.
