This position is ideal for a college student looking to gain real-world experience in digital marketing, content creation, and social media management.Key Responsibilities:•Assist in developing and executing social media strategies across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, and LinkedIn.•Create compelling, on-brand visual content (images, videos, graphics) and copy for social media posts, stories, and campaigns.•Conduct research on current social media trends and audience preferences to inform content strategy.•Schedule and publish posts using social media management tools.•Monitor and engage with community feedback, comments, and messages in a timely manner.•Collaborate with internal teams to gather content ideas and ensure alignment with company goals and campaigns.•Analyze social media metrics and report on performance, suggesting ways to improve engagement and reach.•Stay up to date with social media best practices and emerging trends.Benefits:•Hands-on experience with a fast-paced and creative marketing team.•Opportunity to build a professional portfolio with real-world projects.•Mentorship and guidance from experienced marketing professionals.•Flexible working hours to accommodate school schedules.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of: Microsoft Suite. Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and tools. Passion for social media, content creation, and digital marketing.Skill in: Proficiency in basic graphic design and video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to: Multitask and manage time effectively. Work independently and as part of a team. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
Minimum/General Qualifications:This position requires applicants to have Federal Work Study as part of their current Financial Aid package with Columbus State. You must also be enrolled in SIX or more credit hours in a degree or certificate program. Any applicants without Federal Work Study eligibility will not be considered for this position.Applicants must have received a high school diploma or a certificate of attendance from an accredited secondary school or a certificate of high school equivalence and be exempt from Ohio Revised Code Chapter 4109.Must have reliable transportation or other means to get to work regularly.Students enrolled as Transient, College Credit Plus, Undecided, or otherwise non-degree-seeking are not considered eligible for Student Employment.
Schedule: Flexible. Schedule TBD by the needs of department and student schedule. Maximum 20 hours per week.Work will be performed: Hybrid of Remote and On-site.

- Knowledge of social media analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Sprout Social).
- Familiarity with influencer marketing and community engagement.
