Overview/Purpose:
Teen Vogue is seeking an enthusiastic Social Media Manager to manage day to day social posting and optimization for the digital team. This role is primarily responsible for daily posting and scheduling on Facebook and Twitter as well as assisting on posting and scheduling for various other platforms including Instagram and Pinterest for Teen Vogue. This role works collaboratively across teams to roll out monthly cover launches and features, deliver on sponsorships, manage social partnerships, and collaborate on growth strategy.
Along with a passion for storytelling and attention to detail, the candidate must have in-depth social media experience and a proven history of growing social audiences. The role is intended for someone who cares deeply about the important topics we cover, has strong writing skills, knowledge of analytical tools, and is enthusiastic about joining an agile team. This person has an instinct for what's on (and off) brand, has an eye for powerful visuals, understands how data can inform a smart editorial strategy, and is an expert at juggling multiple projects, managing deadlines, distilling social numbers into actionable insights, and advocating for strong social content across the organization.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Manage day-to-day posting, editing and optimization of content on multiple social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter
* Master Teen Vogue's editorial voice
* Work closely with editorial stakeholders to roll out monthly cover stories and features across social
* Partner with commerce team to create social-first content to drive towards goals
* Work with sales to deliver on sponsorships via social posts
* Build creative assets for various social platforms when necessary
* Coordinate with editors and publicists to ensure talent promotion of features on social
* Manage social swaps with internal Conde Nast brands as well as external partners
* Report on content performance and present social insights and best practices to Teen Vogue and Conde Nast's digital team
* Make daily recommendations to and work closely with the editorial team (weighing in on headlines, etc.)
* Adjust social strategy according to KPI pacing
* Brainstorm new ideas and plan rollout strategies for testing with the audience development team
Requirements:
* A minimum requirement of 3-4 years of social media experience
* Passionate about social media and growing audiences
* Positive team player and an enthusiastic work ethic
* Familiarity with Teen Vogue's content, tone and voice
* Strong writing and communication skills
* Basic understanding of social media analytics and experience optimizing content
* Strong editorial judgment
* Excellent organizational skills, focus, and attention to detail
* An established ability to synthesize and communicate information quickly
* Must complete an edit test (writing samples are a plus!)
This is a guild position.
The expected base salary range for this position is from $80,000-$90,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates may also be eligible to receive discretionary bonus compensation.
