Job Description:

We are seeking a Freelance Social Media Strategist for a 2-3 month engagement focused on developing a social media strategy and plan for a pharmaceutical client.

In the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, we understand that driving change effectively requires expertise in more areas than ever and the ability to integrate that knowledge across teams.The RoleThis role requires a creative and strategic storyteller who has experience in healthcare communications with both HCP and patient focused social media, and who can critically evaluate brand plans to develop social strategies, drive social listening efforts, and develop insights related to performance analytics.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct thorough audits of current social media practices and performance
  • Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies (organic and paid) for Client projects and initiatives including platform specific approaches and content calendar
  • Drive social listening activities and efforts based on Clients unique needs to develop thoughtful reports and analyses
  • Work closely with various departments to ensure alignment and integration of social media initiatives, improving cross-functional collaboration
  • Create insights based on Client project metrics to evaluate the success of social media activities and guide future strategies and help define key performance indicators
  • Oversee and optimize paid social media campaigns across all social channels, and establish targeting profiles to ensure KPIs can be achieved

Qualifications:

  • Must have proven work experience as a Content Strategist, Content Manager or similar role for healthcare advertising/medical communications agency
  • In-depth knowledge of social platforms including but not limited to: Linkedin, X, Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, Reddit, YouTube
  • Experience collaborating with cross agency teams
  • Knowledge of Content Management Systems, like Sprout, Hootsuite, Khouros, Brandwatch
  • Experience using social media for business including META Business Suite, X for Business, Linkedin, YouTube and Google ads
  • Solid writing and editing skills in English
  • Ability to work independently and track to deliverable milestones
  • Time-management skills
  • Ability to engage team members as needed to review and provide input to work
  • 8-10 years experience working in pharma advertising required

The position offers competitive pay with benefits based on experience and qualifications:

Salary Range: $85-95/hr, for a 2-3 month assignment to start

The salary range provided represents what a potential hire may expect to earn in this role at Coefficient Health. Actual salary decisions will be influenced by several factors that we use to determine overall fit, including experience (both direct and indirect), education, training, demonstrated qualifications, and organizational needs.
