Description
St. Louis County's Human Services Department has an opportunity for a full-time Supervisor for the County Older Resident Programs. This position is responsible for overseeing services provided and supervising the involved staff .
This position will work primarily day hours but will be required to work occasional evenings, weekends and holidays. The position is located at the South County Government Center, 4548 Lemay Ferry Road, 63129. After the initial six months of employment, this position is eligible to telework up to 2 days per week with the approval of the supervisor.
The annual starting salary will be between$43,097.60 - $48,006.40 and will be based on experience and qualifications.As an employer, St. Louis County cares about the health and well-being of our employees. Examples of Duties
Responsible for supervision and coordination of Field Service Coordinators.
Provides oversight for County Older Resident Programs in the South County Government Center.
Maintains records on staff and volunteers.
Delivers presentationsto community groups on topics relevant to older adults.
Coordinates any special projects assigned.
Performs related work as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires aBachelor's Degree in Social Work, Behavioral Sciences or related field along with two years related experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Also, requires a current, valid driver's license.
Prefer experience working with Older Adults, supervisory experience and public speaking experience.

SELECTION AND APPOINTMENT: A selection committee will evaluate the qualifications of each applicant which will include recentness and appropriateness of the applicant's education and experience, answers to the supplemental questions, results of employment references investigated and any other appropriate information available.
The selection committee will admit to the interview only those persons who possess the most job related qualifications and may establish admittance criteria beyond the minimum qualifications stated above. The interview will comprise 100% of the applicant's earned grade. A candidate must earn a qualifying grade of 70 or more on the interview to be eligible for appointment. After initial interviews with the selected candidates are conducted, an email will be sent to the address on file with instructions on how to complete and submit a Conviction Questionnaire. Candidates have 3 days to complete the required questionnaire.
The five top ranking candidates, based on the final grade, will be certified to the Department Director/Appointing Authority who will make the final decision.
All applicants conditionally offered a merit position will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Screening will be performed by a reputable clinical laboratory. The cost of screening will be covered by the County.
