Job DescriptionOBJECTIVE:Individual serves the public through effective implementation of federal/state regulations; Provides a wide range of casework services to children and families.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Primary duties include a wide range of casework services to children and families. These duties may include any combination of any of the following:
- Receiving, documenting, and screening allegations of child abuse/neglect.
- Investigation and/or assessment of child abuse/neglect referrals;
- Maintenance of a caseload of families/children who require protective assistance;
- Provision of adoption and post adoption services to children and families.
- This position requires extensive travel
Additional duties required based on functional job description include receiving and documenting allegations of child abuse/neglect and sharing with teammates in 24/7 on-call rotation.The employee must possess the skills and ability to cope with diverse environments, health hazards and personal safety issues, including aggressive behaviorsQualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related human services field. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Must possess a valid Ohio driver's license and maintain insurability under the County's vehicle insurance policy.
