Job Title: Social Work AssistantMonday-Friday (Part Time) 9a-1p or 10a-2pHourly Rate: $26.23Job Summary: As a key member of the Social Services Department, the Social Work Assistant plays an essential role in ensuring smooth departmental operations through effective clerical support, coordination, and communication. This position supports the delivery of high-quality care for our residents and fosters a compassionate, resident-centered environment. The Social Work Assistant will represent both the department and the organization with professionalism, positivity, and a strong commitment to The Osborn's mission, vision, and policies.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support, including phone call management, scheduling, and calendar maintenance.
  • Organize and maintain confidential resident files, ensuring documentation is accurate and current.
  • Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and correspondence related to resident care.
  • Coordinate meetings between social workers, residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new residents by preparing necessary paperwork.
  • Assist with follow-up communication regarding care plans and services for residents, families, and staff.
  • Perform data entry and update records in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Handle incoming mail, emails, and communications promptly.
  • Perform clerical tasks such as filing, photocopying, and scanning as needed.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or related coursework preferred.
  • Prior administrative experience, preferably in healthcare or social work settings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with EHR systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Compassionate approach to resident and family interactions.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
