Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise CASAC Counselors and ensure the effective delivery of behavioral health services.
- Review and provide guidance on bio-psycho-social assessments, case notes, and patient records.
- Conduct initial mental health screenings priorto patient admission and provide annual and crisis evaluations.
- Provide individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and family therapy as needed.
- Hold weekly supervisory meetings with counselors focused on case analysis, treatment planning, and case management.
- Participate in clinical supervision with the Clinic Director weekly.
- Ensure vocational rehabilitation is integrated into each patient's treatment plan.
- Coordinate referrals for psychiatric, chemical dependency, and other services, ensuring follow-up and progress tracking.
- Manage patient treatment and documentation across multiple systems (ERDS, HRA-STARS, OASAS-CDS), ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Oversee incident reporting, create corrective action plans (CAPs), and manage patient confidentiality.
- Provide staff training, ensuring implementation of evidence-based practices.
- Serve as administrative support to the Clinic Director when needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master's Degree in Social Work (LMSW) or Mental Health Counseling (LMHC) required.
- Licensure: LMSW or LMHC with a CASAC credential required/Master's Degree.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a staff trainer or treatment supervisor.
- Strong experience with psychological assessments, establishing therapeutic relationships, and providing direct treatment.
- Experience with documentation in the DSM-IV and coordinating patient care and referrals.
