The clinician completes comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans, screenings, treatment via individual/family/group therapy, as well as discharge plans for patients, and families as needed. The clinician works on an interdisciplinary treatment team in order to provide thorough and comprehensive care, as well as continuity of care, and will prepare and send progress reports to the appropriate social service agencies and referral sources as required. The clinician may also assist in the acquisition of appropriate resources as needed. The clinician may also collect routine urine drug samples for labs and rapid assessment if required.Additionally, the clinician attends annual and PRN trainings and webinars to improve competency in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. The clinician also works collaboratively with Peer Support Specialists, Case Management, and Care Coordination for patients with mental health and substance use disorder that may require additional support and coordination of services.
