Winn Army Community Hospital is a 112-bed community hospital which will feature a new Womens Health and Mammography Center. Our healthcare team provides primary and specialty care for a patient population of over 70,000. As a civilian family practice physician, you will play an integral role in providing exceptional healthcare to the Soldiers and Families in our great Army and the 3rd Infantry Division.

Responsibilities:As a Clinical Social Worker you will:
Works with highly complex cases in which individuals are severely impacted by moderate to severe psychiatric diagnoses to include factors such as history of trauma, co-occurring conditions and suicide. Provides individual, family, and group clinical counseling services using various evidenced based modalities as clinically indicated for adults and children to assist clients to identify and manage personal, psychological and interactive problems, and to achieve effective personal, occupational, marital, and family development and adjustment: Collects bio-psycho-social information about patients using interview, case history, and observation techniques, and assessment methods. Analyzes information collected to determine psychiatric diagnosis, treatment plan and/or advisability of counseling or referral to other specialists or institutions. Reviews notes and information collected to identify problems and concerns. Consults reference material, for example the most current version of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders (DSM), textbooks, manuals, and journals, to identify symptoms, make diagnoses, and develop therapeutic or treatment plan. Counsels clients, using counseling methods and procedures using approved evidence based treatment modalities to assist clients in gaining insight into personal and interactive problems, to define goals, and to plan action reflecting interests, abilities, and needs. Evaluates results of counseling methods to determine the effectiveness of treatment used. Interacts with other professionals to discuss therapy or treatment, new resources or techniques.
Provides case management services to effectively manage patients enrolled in behavioral intensive outpatient behavioral programs and prevent crises. Regularly coordinates with other clinics, family advocacy program, Army Substance Abuse Program, installation chaplain services, Service Member commands, social service agencies, schools, and other organizations that support the patient. Where such collaboration does not already exist, takes the lead in developing inter-agency and/or interdisciplinary forums. Continuously assesses and responds to changing needs of patients based on deployment cycles or critical events.
Executes performance initiatives through revision of clinical standards and procedures. Performs a variety of quality management/quality assurance duties to meet the Joint Commission (TJC) requirements. Establishes and monitors objective behavioral outcome measures. Monitors risk management issues and takes appropriate actions. Provides concise documentation of care and recommendations. Provides reports and approves consults. Skill in written and oral communication especially in case formulation and presentation.

This is an inclement weather position. The incumbent is expected to make every attempt to report for duty on time and/or remain on duty during inclement weather conditions. Incumbent may be required to perform call duties; work overtime to include weekends and federal holidays, out of cycle, or unscheduled training or on an emergency basis. The work will require the incumbent to work evenings/nights, rotating shifts, extended hours or other schedules common to hospital operations.This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations. Applicants tentatively selected for appointment to this position will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations. ALL EMPLOYESS ASSIGNED TO A MTF ARE REQUIRED TO BE SCREENED FOR APPLICABLE IMMUNIZATIONS REGARDLESS OF SERIES, BASED ON OCCUPATIONAL RISK, AND ARE SUBJECT TO MISSING/REQUIRED IMMUNIZATIONS IAW AR 40-562, CHAPTERS 3 & 4. This position requires credentialing. Applicants tentatively selected for this position will be required to meet credentialing requirements. Valid state license as a clinical social worker. Incumbent will have to pass a pre-employment physical to meet Physical Efforts requirements. This position may require an annual physical or medical surveillance examination. This position requires the ability to lift 30 lbs. This position requires Basic Life Support training certification from, or in accordance with, the American Red Cross. Must obtain within 30 days of employment and maintain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
