We also seek to attract culturally and academically diverse faculty who value working with diverse students.SalarySalary and rank are contingent on education and experience.Job Summary/Basic FunctionThe Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time, research-track faculty position (#123620) in forensic anthropology at the rank of assistant or associate professor. The start date for the position is August 1, 2025.The successful candidate is expected to have research and teaching experience in forensic anthropology; specialization is open. The successful candidate will teach courses in their areas of expertise at the undergraduate level. Qualified applicants must show evidence of an active research agenda, a record of successful grant writing, teaching experience, and professional activity. The position will be housed within the MTSU Forensic Institute for Research and Education (FIRE) and will require mentorship of forensic anthropology students on the FASR (Forensic Anthropology Search and Recovery) Team.
