MC Machinery Systems, Inc.Job DescriptionJob Title: Software Applications EngineerDESCRIPTION:The software applications engineer will design, develop, and support manufacturing software control systems used with Mitsubishi fabrication equipment at customer facilities located in North America. In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for design, development, validation, and support of automation software to enable manufacturing technologies. This position requires the ability to independently manage work assignments and complete project lifecycle management (i.e., requirement analysis to deployment and support).ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:•Support Pre and post- sales technical support•Demonstrate software products to potential and existing customers.•Analyze customer requirements and designing software solutions to meet requirements.•Maintain clear communications with customers and software development partners.•Test new software builds to prove the functionality, reliability, and performance of theapplications you help develop.•Provide expert level support to factory technicians and process engineers on use of theseapplications.•Collaborate with software development team to drive core product growth.•Develop new software solutions for customers and industry partners.•Create and present technical training curriculums.•Travel to customer and industry partner facilities to execute sales support, implementation, andconduct advanced technical training sessions. This position generally has a lot of driving and overtime work. Ability to operate a motor vehicle and possession of a valid driver's license is required.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:This job requires very frequent bending at the waist, twisting of the upper body, standing, speaking and hearing and frequent kneeling. Repetitive use of the hands, squeezing, keyboarding and crouching. Requires frequent lifting and carrying of 1-10 pounds, recurrent lifting of 11-20 pounds and occasional lifting and carrying of 21-50 or more pounds. Also requires constant pushing and pulling of 1-50 pounds and infrequent pushing and pulling of over 50 pounds with the aid of handcarts or other wheeled devices.
