Responsibilities:
The Software Architect will support the Sponsor in analyzing, evaluating, updating, documenting, and delivering the software architecture and business processes and perform the following activities:
- Assess existing business and knowledge flows, relationships among roles, and internal and external management practices for areas of improvement
- Review individual system software architectures under development and in O&M, interfaces, and designs and assist the Sponsor in assuring seamless integration of systems and shared components
- Support development and application of an enterprise business architecture strategy
- Review prototypes, technologies, GOTS, and COTS products that have been identified for transition
- Capture tactical and strategic enterprise goals and map to metrics
- Assist in the technology enablement of core capabilities and value streams
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of the business architecture knowledge base
- Assist in formalizing business architecture supporting infrastructure, training, methodology, governance, and tools
- Assess the business impact that certain technical choices have
- Recommend best tools to accomplish mission requirements
- Assist in the management of software licenses
- Provide hands on support and guidance to development teams
- Continually research and analyze current and emerging technologies and propose changes where needed
Qualifications:
Required:
- Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or similar technical fields
- Fifteen (15+) years of experience specific to technical and programmatic integration or a related field
- Strong oral and written communications skills
Desired:
- Relevant certifications in software architecture or IT development
