This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a lunar terrain vehicle's rapid prototyping and autonomous navigation capabilities. This is a short-term opportunity that can be extended and has significant potential for growth. Be part of a mission that will leave a lasting impact on space exploration! Key Duties:
- Collaborate with the autonomous driving team to flush out software architecture for off-road driving, hazard detection, and path planning.
- Develop rapid prototypes for autonomous vehicle systems, focusing on implementing cutting-edge technology.
- Work on hazard detection algorithms, optical navigation, LIDAR integration, and real-time path planning.
- Assist with the preparation for a prototype demonstration.
- Provide expertise in factor graph search, A* search, particle filters, and high-definition autonomy (HDA).
Required/Desired Skills, Experience, and Education Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

- 5 or more years of related experience.
- Proven experience in software development for autonomous vehicles or related fields.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with:
- Autonomous off-road driving
- Hazard detection and path planning algorithms
- Factor graph search and A* search algorithms
- Particle filters
- LIDAR and optical navigation
- HDA (High Definition Autonomy)
- Ability to work independently and contribute to fast-paced prototyping efforts.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
