RegularPRIMARY FUNCTION
StraitSys is seeking a skilled Front-End Software Developer specializing in UI/UX, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining engaging and responsive web interfaces. You will work independently to create seamless web applications and ensure that our digital products align with user needs and business goals. You will play a key role in the Front-End Software development for an established web-based applications as well as be a key component for future web-based application design and user experience. This role offers a unique opportunity to support both immediate business needs and to grow with the organization as we continually work to modernize.
The Front-End-Software Developer with work in close coordination with the Government personnel, the IT Project Manager and software development team to design, build, and maintain aesthetically pleasing/modern interfaces that improve end-users' abilities while ensuring efficient system operations. Create UI themes for cohesive systems experience and determine the best ways to incorporate into current systems front end. Understand limitations and
provide technical advice wherever necessary to meet client requirements within schedule and budget.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Design and develop user-friendly interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks.
Create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to effectively communicate design ideas.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective designs.
Conduct user research and usability testing to enhance the overall user experience.
Optimize applications for maximum speed and performance, adhering to best practices.
Stay up to date with emerging trends in UI/UX design technologies.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Experience with Agile/Scrum and CI/CD methodologies is a plus.
Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on optimizing data workflows and improving system useability.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across technical and business teams.
Knowledge of back-end technologies (Node.js, Express, etc.) is a plus.
Familiarity with web performance optimization techniques.
Proficiency C#, Netframework, AJAX, SignalR, FetchAPI, and/or WebSockets
Excellent customer service skills, able to deconstruct user behavior and feedback to create improved experience for users throughout the development project process.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Active Top-Secret Clearance.
Bachelor's degree in graphic design, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Proficiency in ASP.NET, MVC, SASS, and Bootstrap. Along with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with experience in front-end framework.3+ years of related job experience
Must be a US Citizen
Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test.
Strong understanding of front-end development within a cloud environment.
Experience in creating wireframes and user flows, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design work.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Proven experience as a Front-End Developer with a focus on UI/UX design.
