Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Developer (Mainframe to AWS), to join our team! For this position the work and candidate must be within driving distance to Clarksburg WV site for on-site work as needed.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Knowledge Of Z/OS Operation, IPL Process and PARMLIB processing, JES2 Operation, JCL, z/OSMF, SMP/E, SMS, SMF, TSO, z/OS Security, z/OS Networking.

  • Updating existing or new operating systems software components.

  • Analysis, development, modification, installation, testing and maintenance of existing or new operating systems software components.

  • Planning, testing and installation of operating system and vendor products patches or “bug fixes”.

  • Planning hardware and software system upgrades and changes in configuration.

  • Modifies, installs and prepares technical documentation for system software applications.

  • System-wide performance tuning to meet required levels of service.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to include preparing and delivering presentations and artifacts to customer management.

  • Development using Agile Scrum methodologies.

  • Knowledge of SAFe.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years of relevant experience working with Java on an enterprise scale.

  • Experience in enterprise Planning, testing and installation of operating system and vendor products patches.

  • Planning hardware and software system upgrades and changes in configuration.

  • Modifies, installs and prepares technical documentation for system software applications.

  • System-wide performance tuning to meet required levels of service.

  • Understanding and leverage common software architectural styles and patterns.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree (in Computer Science or related field) AND 2 or more years directly related experience.

  • Working knowledge of Assembler, REXX, RMF, DFSORT, IPCS/dump analysis, WLM, GRS, VSAM, RACF, VTAM, TCPIP, Pervasive Encryption.

  • Significant involvement in upgrade of third party software products to new releases

  • Capacity Planning.

  • Automating operations.

  • Modifies, installs and prepares technical documentation for system software applications.

  • Development using Agile Scrum methodologies.

  • Knowledge of SAFe.

Clearance Requirements :

  • Applicants must have an active Top Secret clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.

  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

  • May be asked to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment weighing up to 50 pounds across and/or around a business campus or large facility.
