About the job Software Developer (TS/SCI) Northwest Talent Solutions is a leading Technology, Finance, and Healthcare staffing/recruiting and HR/DEI consulting firm partnering with outstanding clients within the private industry and public sector. Currently, we are partnered with a preferred client in search of a highly talented Software Developer (TS/SCI). Job Summary We are seeking a Software Developer to support NGAs Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) mission, focusing on the integration of sciences, technology, and tradecraft. This role involves developing solutions to measure and model the Earth, enhancing three-dimensional accuracy of every point on, in, or above the globe. Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of mission critical capabilities migrated to modern, cloud-based environments
  • Utilize DevSecOps technologies for deployment automation, service-oriented architectures, and modern code management tools and programming languages
  • Architect and develop software for an application modernization project
  • Work with the mission to transform existing enterprise software into modern cloud-native applications
  • Reduce the time to launch and increase release frequency
  • Develop code approaches to modernize the government customers tools stack and deploy them to AWS cloud
Qualifications: I. Education:
  • BS in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or closely related discipline
II. Experience:
  • 8+ years of prior relevant experience or master's with 6+ years of prior relevant experience
  • Strong expertise in C++, Visual Basic.NET and C#
  • Proficient in software development projects or software integration projects in a service-oriented environment (Cloud, SOA, Web-Services)
III. License(s)/Certification(s):
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain SCI post hire (required)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with relational and non-relational database systems such as Amazon RDS, Postgres SQL
  • Experience with Web-related protocols and technologies, such as web servers, HTTP, SSL
  • Experience with AWS-based architectures and tools
  • Proactive self-starter
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Understanding of custom code development/reviews
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps methodologies and workflow
  • Knowledge of SW Development and SW Sustainment Practices
  • Experience with GitLab CI/CD (preferred)
  • AWS certification (e.g. Developer, DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect) (preferred)
  • Experience with ArcGIS or geospatial technologies (preferred)
