As a Software Engineer in the Liquid Asset Management Technology team at BXTI, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable and secure software platforms used in the private and liquid credit businesses. You will also contribute to the development of the firmwide data strategy, enabling Blackstone to transform the Alternative Asset Management industry through innovative technology solutions. Working with a cross-functional team of technologists, you will collaborate with product managers to deliver high-quality code and drive business value. Your responsibilities will include tackling various challenges, from scaling infrastructure to automating business processes for improved efficiency. Our internal applications are built on a highly scalable microservices architecture deployed on a cloud-hosted containerized environment. Key technologies in our stack include React, FastAPI, GraphQL, Python, C#, Terraform, SQL, AWS ECS, AWS Lambda, AWS DynamoDB, AWS S3, CI/CD tooling (e.g., Jenkins), and data warehouse solutions like Snowflake. Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain software solutions using Python, C#, TypeScript/JavaScript, and SQL, ensuring code quality, scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Collaborate with teams to design and implement new features and applications, following Agile methodologies and utilizing JIRA for project management.
  • Develop cloud-native solutions using AWS, Terraform, Docker, and Nginx, ensuring scalability and robustness.
  • Utilize standard CI/CD tooling (Jenkins) to build and deploy application code in various environments.
  • Create, deploy, and maintain APIs and supporting microservices for seamless integration with front-end applications and third-party systems.
  • Build pages in React while adhering to the firm's design standards, leveraging reusable components to deliver a seamless user experience across desktop and mobile platforms.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, lead technical design and code reviews, and troubleshoot software defects.
  • Provide technical support, automate repetitive tasks, and stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and provide business support.
  • Mentor junior developers, contribute to the team culture, and demonstrate a willingness to learn from senior engineers.
Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience in full-stack software development, with proficiency in C# and/or Python, databases (relational and/or NoSQL), and cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and containerization technologies like Docker.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, and the ability to manage projects from start to finish.
  • Deep understanding of RESTful API design, development, and scalable microservice architectures.
  • Ability to develop scalable, secure, and maintainable code, with a strong background in object-oriented programming.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial attitude, willing to teach and mentor others, and interest in learning new technologies.
  • Bachelor's degree (BSc/BA) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Expected annual base salary range: $95,000 - $160,000 Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location.
