These organizations are vital to society; they inspire, connect and delight us. Yet, these organizations have been traditionally underserved by technology. We're changing that and helping them thrive. Our product meaningfully increases our customers' revenue and saves them time by streamlining workflows in fundraising, ticketing, marketing, education and more. We have a fast growing and happy customer base, expanding into more segments across the country and internationally, and we are looking to add a talented and driven engineer to our small team! Location CueBox is headquartered in New York City, and we are a hybrid workplace. Our team is in the office 3 days a week Tuesday-Thursday. About You We are looking for backend-leaning full stack engineers who love building delightful and performant products, are excited to work hard at a mission-oriented startup, and want to collaborate with us in shaping the culture of a growing team! Requirements:
  • 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, including prior experience at an early or mid stage startup
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related technical field
  • Proven track record of building data intensive applications in a complex domain and using a strongly typed backend language
  • Some full stack experience with React is a plus to be able to deliver features end to end
  • Strong product sense and high customer empathy; genuine desire to build the best possible product for our users
  • Self directed, resourceful, excellent critical thinking skills, and ability to take ownership over large or ambiguous problem areas
  • Collaborates and communicates effectively in a small team environment
About the Role This role reports directly to the CTO. You will:
  • Own and scale our backend systems as we grow
  • Pioneer new features and product areas
  • Meaningfully influence technical direction as the product evolves
  • Contribute to a culture of engineering excellence through technical design discussion, PR review, documentation
  • Collaborate with non-engineering stakeholders to gain and leverage an understanding of the broader product and customer strategy
  • Work in our current tech stack: Golang/Protobuf/Postgres backend; Next.js/Chakra UI frontend; hosted on GCP
Here is a sample of upcoming projects that you could work on:
  • Drive new product areas such as educational/youth programming, data-driven pricing as we expand our product offering.
  • Further optimize and improve performance of our core consumer facing checkout flows and our admin facing analytics workloads.
  • Add additional email marketing, payment processor and other 3P integrations.
  • Unlock new market segments for the company and increase our customer onboarding throughput by owning and automating our data migration onboarding flow.
  • Architect and implement core data model improvements to enable more sophisticated payments features such as multi payment method transactions.
