The Digital Products Center of Excellence (COE) is seeking an experienced Software Engineer/Full Stack Developer for field applications. The COE provides full lifecycle support for Otis digital products including Compass® Destination Dispatch, EMS Panorama™ and eCall™ Pro products worldwide.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work as an extension of product development team influencing product requirements for the operations side of the business

  • Rework existing or develop new field software tools to install, configure and troubleshoot the products at customer jobsites

  • Provide field support as product issues arise

  • Perform technical root cause analysis of issues and work with the development team toward resolution

  • Communicate and consult with customers to derive their requirements (cyber, network, functional)

  • Adhere to OTIS three Absolutes: Safety, Ethics and Quality

Education / Certifications:

  • The successful candidate must have a BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Management and Information Systems, or other relevant degree.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years' experience

  • Experience developing desktop (C#), mobile (iOS, Android) and embedded (C++, Python) applications

  • Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (C#, Java, Python) and front-end languages (JavaScript, XML, jQuery)

  • Familiarity with databases, web servers, UI/UX, API development and integration

  • Strong technical root cause analysis capabilities

  • Networking engineering (network security, firewall, L2/L3, VLANs, VPNs, proxies)

  • Cyber security implementation (PKI, auth and security protocols, cryptography, application security)

  • Embedded Linux/Yocto experience

  • A strong customer focus and collaborative approach while working with global field personnel, regional engineers and experts and engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Elevator domain experience

  • Cloud architecture experience with Azure PAAS/IAAS and AD

  • DevOps CI/CD background and Docker/Kubernetes experience

  • One or more Computer Networking Certifications

  • One or more Cyber Security Certifications

  • Agile development
