WellSky is seeking a Software Engineer III - DevOps to join our team. In this role one will create, maintain, and troubleshoot the IBM i Development, QA, Staging, and Production environments. This role will be responsible for quarterly security patches, product releases through the environments, and operational performance.A day in the life!You will be responsible for the following:Deploy new versions of the product to production using automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines)Apply quarterly security patches to all IBM i serversMonitor operational performance of the IBM i ProductsMonitor capacity/infrastructure to forecast needs of the businessTroubleshoot and maintain Development, QA, Staging, and Production system configurationsDevelop and maintain design and troubleshooting documentationTroubleshoot performance production issues and coordinate with the development team to streamline code deploymentDynamic schedule – must be able to work nights/weekendsResponsibilities also include close collaboration with software developers on the product teams, operations staff, and other IT staff members to manage code releasesDo you have what it takes?Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a related fieldMinimum 2-4 years related work experienceExperience with the following technologies:IBM i Operating SystemIBM i, iSeries, AS/400 System Administration experienceIBM Power ServerDo you stand above the rest?Preferred Qualifications:You possess a problem-solving attitudeExperience as a DevOps Engineer or equivalent software-engineering role.Experience in network, server, and application-status monitoringProven ability to work as part of an Agile software development team and understands the SDLC process.Ability to coach others, ensure processes and procedures are up to date and followedContinuous Delivery/Integration: Rocket LMi, Azure DevOpsApplication Development/Coding/Scripting Experience: SQL, PowershellHardware Management Console (HMC) configuration and supportSAN replication methods (IBM FSFC) configuration and supportData replication configuration and support (PowerHA, MIMIX, etc.)Experience in software development lifecycle automation(DevOps) for IBM iSQL & DB performance monitoring & tuning - utilizing tools like iDoctorRPG Application development coding – General UnderstandingCL coding (develop and support)Familiarity with Jira/Confluence#LI-AH1Additional job expectations applicable to this position include:Willingness to work additional or irregular hours as neededWorking in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and proceduresPerforming other responsibilities as assignedWellSky is where independent thinking and collaboration come together to create an authentic culture.
