As a Software Engineer III, you will work with technical teams to create software solutions that use prevailing technologies and improve the customers' experience while adhering to business and technical requirements. Design, develop, modify, enhance, and implement software systems designed to support new or existing business initiatives.

WHAT OUR SOFTWARE ENGINEER III ENJOY MOST

  • Design and implement new functionality that is testable and performant with limited oversight and guidance following best practices and approved code patterns.
  • Apply object oriented and computer science fundamental principles to coding tasks.
  • Understand and apply different SDLC processes, particularly Agile and Scrum; participate fully in Scrum rituals.
  • Understand and apply applicable technology security and industry regulatory and legal compliance considerations.
  • Identify fixes to defects raised.
  • Create and execute test plans and ensures code coverage.
  • Raise defects in code reviews.
  • Provide an LOE on a project / feature level.
  • Develop software independently and write testable and performant code.
  • Contribute to technical requirements and technical design documents.
  • Collaborate with other team members to identify and solve technical problems.
  • Respond to customer inquiries around the behavior of the developed software.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation.
  • Ensure legal, regulatory, process, and security compliance of the code contributed to their application.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

Required Qualifications

  • Experience:
    • Database Management Systems – 1-3+ years
    • Coding, testing, and designing software – 1-3+ years
    • Software Development Methodologies – 1-3+ years
  • Education:
    • BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Technical skills:
    • Demonstrated knowledge of one major programming language/tool
    • Demonstrated knowledge of coding language and syntax, usage of functions and object-oriented patterns
    • Knowledge of environments, docker images, container runtimes, and cloud native app development
    • Knowledge of dependent systems, e.g., up/downstream APIs, clients, data stores, CI/CD Pipelines
    • Knowledge of design patterns and frameworks
  • Skills:
    • Showcases Project / Feature level work to their team and technical leadership
    • Basic negotiation skills
    • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
  • Abilities:
    • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
    • Ability to work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors
    • Ability to apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues
    • Ability to work under general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments
    • Ability to break down assigned projects into manageable tasks and completes within a given timeframe
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively without oversight

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 to 8+ years relevant experience
  • Experience with SAP ABAP programming language
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA
  • Experience with full life-cycle development
  • Design, build, and maintain high-quality SAP ABAP applications.
  • Develop and modify SAP modules as well as connected modules and systems.
  • Perform complex ABAP programming, testing, and debugging functions related to the implementation of SAP modules.
  • Ensure seamless integration of custom-built objects with other SAP modules like MM (Material Management) and FI (Financial Accounting).
  • Provide ongoing support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms within SAP.
  • Interfacing skills/knowledge related to IDOCs and BTP
  • Experience in CDS Views, Table functions,
  • Engage with functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure solutions meet functionality and compliance standards.
  • Act as the technical expert, ensuring quick turnaround in identifying application issues and providing timely solutions
  • Ensure all SAP solutions comply with standards.
  • Document and maintain all code changes and customizations in accordance with standard compliance procedures.
  • Shows initiative and goes above and beyond to assist others as needed
  • Designing & modeling OData services
  • Experience in RICEFW Objects: Reports, Interfaces (SFTP (file), RFC/BAPI), Adobe forms, Enhancement framework: User Exits, Screen Exits, BADIs & Workflow

Nice to Have:

  • Certification ABAP
  • Comfortable with OSS navigation & interaction with SAP (OSS message SAP Notes)
  • Experience with SAP Cloud Integration products (CPI, BTP)
