Akkodis is seeking a Software Engineer IV for a Contract job with a client in Richardson TX (Remote). The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience as a Software Engineer, demonstrating proficiency in Python for software development and scripting. Rate Range: $70/hour to $77.79/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Software Engineer IV job responsibilities include: Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain complex software applications and services to meet business needs. Implement data pipelines and ETL processes utilizing Databricks and Snowflake, ensuring efficient data processing and storage. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand technical requirements, translating them into effective solutions. Optimize and fine-tune the performance of data pipelines and database queries for improved efficiency. Ensure high code quality through thorough code reviews, unit testing, and adherence to continuous integration practices. Contribute to architectural discussions and technical design decisions to enhance the overall software architecture. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment. Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues, ensuring timely delivery of software projects. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, continuously improving skills and knowledge in software engineering practices. Desired Qualifications: 10 years of experience in software engineering or a related field. Prior working experience with Databricks and Snowflake for data engineering and analytics. Strong proficiency in Python for software development and scripting. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Not required, but a degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
