Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer to join the Data Center Power and Control Division Team in Zwickau, Germany. As a Legrand Group company, we focus on the development of power management and remote management solutions for data centers. The activities of our employees in Zwickau cover the entire spectrum of software development: from programming microcontrollers to application development in GNU/Linux systems and the creation of web interfaces. What Will You Do?

  • Planning, design and implementation of software in the embedded Linux environment.
  • Provide unit-test coverage for delivered code.
  • Work on the cross-product software architecture.
  • Continuous process and resource optimization.
  • Other possible fields of activity in the following areas:
    • Kernel, system and application development in the Linux environment.
    • Web development.
    • Microcontroller programming.
    • Network programming.
    • Android and iOS applications.
Qualifications:

Required Skills

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or related degree.

Experience:

  • At least 1 year experience with Linux development environments.

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Programming languages: C++, Bash, Python.
  • Basics of Web technologies: JavaScript/TypeScript/HTML.
  • High level of written and spoken English language.
  • Ability and willingness to quickly understand complex technical content and concepts.
  • Ready for continuous learning and international teamwork.
