S&P Global Market Intelligence Inc. seeks a Software Engineer who will participate in Software Development Life Cycle to create, develop, enhance, and maintain software solutions for research platform and Market Intelligence applications. Follow Agile best practices and adhere to the Scrum framework. Aid in the development of new products, services, and technologies. Solve a range of routine to complex problems and determine possible solutions, weighing the costs and benefits. Create layouts and user interfaces. Work with database management systems to query and extract data from relevant application databases. Develop processes and methods to monitor models, performance, and accuracy. Test applications and perform troubleshooting prior to deployment. Develop code fixes and enhancements for inclusion in future code releases and patches. Write test cases and debug errors in the application to deliver optimal browser functionality. Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical partners.Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the U.S.REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related IT field plus three (3) years of experience as a Software Engineer or related occupation. Three (3) years of experience must include: Writing code for the application using programming languages including JavaScript, C#, .Net. WPF, Python, and WinForms; Working with database management systems to query and extract data from relevant application databases including MySQL, SQL Server, and SQLite; Creating layouts and user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and content management systems; Implement Agile methodology and Software Development Life Cycle through various software engineering projects; Developing code fixes and enhancements for inclusion in future code releases and patches; Writing test cases and debugging errors in the application to deliver optimal browser functionality; Troubleshooting and problem-solving infrastructure-based issues.The anticipated base salary range for this position is $128,544 to $139,800. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individuals geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses & certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
