Summary: Driving Simulation and Data Processing are two of the hottest and most important technologies supporting ADAS, Automated Driving, and vehicle cockpit development. The Sim and Tools organization has the charter within Aptiv's Office of the Chief Technology Officer to create, enhance, and maintain the code of the software tools that are used for Driving Simulation and Data Processing, both in the form of desktop applications and datacenter/cloud frameworks. Used in every corner of Aptiv's Advanced Safety and User Experience business, and by the OEM customers themselves, the products of the Sim and Tools organization are cornerstones of Aptiv's ability to execute its engineering projects. In your daily job you will:
Responsibilities: - Create and deploy Windows and Linux applications, scripts, and deployment frameworks. The applications, scripts, and deployment frameworks are used as tools by engineers across Aptiv who develop and deploy Aptiv's products.
- Collaborate with Product owner and team members. Manage and prioritize tasks to ensure that the team is working efficiently and effectively. Bring Technological Innovations into existing products or in form of new products that benefit the organization.
- Define Software Requirements, Initiate and perform analysis and review of SW design (e.g. Peer review or Static Code Analyses), define and execute Software Verification Strategies and Methods (e.g. Unit tests, integration test).
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering discipline (IT/EE/EC/CS/Robotics)
- Working Knowledge of software development in (Python/C++/Matlab/JS/HTML).
- Ability to multitask and work in a team environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication in English.
Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or higher in software engineering or computer science
- 3+ years of experience in Software Engineering preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in C/C++
- Working knowledge of virtual driving simulation tools such as: CarMaker, Simian, SCANeR, RoadRunner or equivalent
- Experience with Python and Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow development
- Experience with cross-platform (Windows/Linux) software development
- Exposure to working in an Agile team is a plus
- Exposure to Automotive domain is a plus
