Job Description:
GeoLogics is seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer with an active TS/SCI Clearance and a Minimum of 6 years of experience with two or more development languages such as Java, C#, or Ruby (Java and .Net preferred)REQUIRED: TS/SCI CLEARANCE PAY RATE: $47.00 - $57.00/hr. W2 Hourly Contract Only with Limited Benefits (NO C2C, NO 1099, No 3rd Parties) Location: Fort Liberty, NC REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • TS/SCI Clearance
  • B.A. or B.S. in computer science, information technology, or related discipline - M.S. preferred
  • Minimum 6 years of experience with two or more development languages such as Java, C#, or Ruby (Java and .Net preferred)
  • Skillfully write high-quality, well-tested code and you are comfortable with Object-Oriented programming
  • Comfortability with Agile methods, such as Extreme Programming (XP), Scrum and/or Kanban
  • Enjoy influencing others and always advocate for technical excellence while being open to change when needed
  • Willing and able to commit to travel to client sites in order to solve their business problems
  • Resilient in ambiguous situations and can approach challenges from multiple perspectives
  • **Bonus points if you have working knowledge of cloud technology such as AWS, Azure, Kubernetes and Docker
JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; and following the software development lifecycle. *Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
  • Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.
  • Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming
  • Improves operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
  • Updates job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment, and by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
  • Accomplishes engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Supports and develops software engineers by providing advice, coaching, and educational opportunities.
