Job Type Full-time Description The Software Engineer serves as a vital member of the engineering team reporting to the Software Engineering Leader. This role requires a high energy, self-motivated individual with a strong drive for results. This individual should have a confident understanding and practical approach towards problem solving. They will participate in complex cross functional projects that include architecture and business level decisions. Key Responsibilities & Duties: •Design, develop and modify software for gauges, sensors, instruments clusters, displays and machine controllers. •Develop reliable test plans, procedure and reports for design validation testing. •Lead multiple design reviews, perform simulations, and obtain engineering sign off on all required deliverables. •Be involved in all steps of development cycle: requirement analysis, design, development, testing and deployment. •Participate within a team environment in the development of custom software products, using generally accepted software best practices , and adhering to common software development standards. •Review product specifications and develop detailed workflows with schedules. •Lead projects and direct the work of less experience team members. •Collaborates effectively with team members in other locations and time zones. •Works closely with hardware development to ensure alignment. •Document, report and communicate project progress to engineering leadership positions on a regular basis. •Troubleshoot and debug hardware and software systems. •Hold themselves and team members accountable to meeting commitments. Requirements •Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other closely related field. •6+ years developing software. •Hands on programming experience with C / C++, Java, or Python. •Experience developing and documenting SDK's, API's and product configuration tools. •Programming in Real Time Operating System environments •Experience with automotive, mobile/off-road, construction equipment is a plus. •CAN/J1939 experience is a plus. •Wireless experience is plus (WiFi, BT). Technology/Equipment: •Basic electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DVM's, power supplies, logic analyzers. •Proficiency in the use of technology including thorough understanding of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
