POSITION DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES: The Software Engineer shall identify required resources, schedule dependencies, and contracting actions needed to support the overarching software engineering efforts and interfaces with Program Management and related technologies. With an emphasis on integrating novel new technologies on existing weapons platforms, the Software Engineer shall analyze software engineering problems to develop and implement solutions to complex applications, system design and development issues. The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing analyzing and validating architectural and functional requirements, specifications, and interfaces. The Software Engineer shall interface with system or program contractors, vendors and Government representatives regarding the technical aspects of the programs/projects, ensuring project procedures and controls are followed and leading problem resolution efforts. The Software Engineer must effectively organize, schedule and coordinate Software engineering work phases and tasks to support effective integration in a highly classified environment.
