Description
SAIC has a new opportunity for a Software Engineer in Omaha, NE. This work will be within the U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) Mission Assurance (MA) Division and require providing hardware, software and technical advisory support in support of the Strategic Mission Assurance Data System (SMADS) and USSTRATCOM MA Defense Critical Infrastructure Program (DCIP). This requires coordination and integration efforts with the Services, DOD agencies, elements of Intelligence Community (IC), as well as civil, commercial, and international organizations sharing mutual interests dealing with critical assets and infrastructure across the broad spectrum of national security missions in support of specified tasks, roles and responsibilities assigned to CDRUSSTRATCOM.
The successful applicant will provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex and technically challenging classified work. Solutions must be imaginative, innovative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with USSTRATCOM's objectives. Additionally, the successful applicant must have the ability to work proactively, independently, and as a member of a highly effective technical team while developing innovative solutions. Qualified candidates must be currently eligible for TS/SCI security clearance.
Key duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) sponsored MA Risk Management System (MARMS); support the development and maintenance of MARMS web application through requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation.
- Support the development of the SMADS web application, elicit customer requirements, analyze potential solutions, document designs and test procedures.
- As required, support the development of the SMADS web application through requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation.
- Application maintenance and feature enhancement utilizing ASP.NET MVC, C#, NHibernate, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and Python (Entity Framework is an appropriate substitution for NHibernate).
- Development/maintenance of capabilities interacting with ArcGIS to display information on MARMS and SMADS maps.
- Component and system test planning, verification, and validation.
- Troubleshooting/resolution of operational issues affecting MARMS and SMADS.
- Provide customer and end user situational awareness through development of status presentations and demonstrations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering and three (3) years or more experience.
- Additional years of related experience such as Military training and technical certifications may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree. Applicable Certifications to include: CompTIA Security+ (Sec+), CompTIA Cyber Security Analysis (CySA+), CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+), ITIL Foundations).
- Active TS/SCI Security Clearance is required.
Desired Qualifications:
- 3 years' experience in software development, coding experience, and hardware configuration.
- 3 years' experience with web development, ASP.NET MVC, C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL (or equivalent).
- Familiarity with Oracle database.
- Experience with Human Factors Engineering (HFE) and Graphic User Interface/Experience (GUI/E) Design.
- Experience with software configuration management tools (SubVersion, Git, etc.).
- Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver tasks in a timely manner.
- Skilled at communicating with and relating to customers.
- Familiar with current Microsoft Windows operating systems; administering Windows-based computers.
- Basic understanding of Internet Information Services (IIS) website configuration.
- Experience with DoD agencies.
