Our Challenge:
We are looking for a dedicated Mulesoft Engineer with experience in Flex Gateway and a strong understanding of API management practices. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in technical support, API integration, and enterprise application development. This role requires effective communication skills to collaborate across various teams while ensuring the seamless performance of our API ecosystem.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within New Jersey is $100k-$110k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Work with Mulesoft Flex Gateway and Anypoint platform to manage and support API Management (APIM) Gateway functionalities.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for API gateway features focusing on security, rate limiting, routing, and certificate management, including TLS and MTLS.
- Develop, test, and deploy enterprise integration APIs using Mulesoft API Manager, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with teams to design APIs that comply with RAML and OpenAPI Specification (OAS) standards.
- Leverage experience with Salesforce Experience Hub API Catalog/Portal for integration projects.
- Utilize Linux environment knowledge for scripting and networking tasks, ensuring optimal server performance.
- Monitor and manage Redis servers and Linux servers; utilize tools like New Relic for performance monitoring.
- Handle incident management using ServiceNow or similar tools to track and resolve issues efficiently.
- Maintain version control and collaboration using GitHub; familiarity with GitHub Actions is a plus.
- Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment on project goals and requirements.
- Work independently and collaboratively within a team, emphasizing accountability and ownership of tasks.
Requirements:
You are:
- 5 years of hands-on experience with Mulesoft Flex Gateway and Anypoint platform.
- Proven experience in a technical support role with a deep understanding of API management and RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with API specification standards, particularly RAML and OpenAPI Specification (OAS).
- Experience with Salesforce Experience Hub API Catalog/Portal.
- Proficient in Linux, with scripting and networking knowledge (approximately 2 years of experience).
- Understanding of Redis servers, Linux servers, and performance monitoring tools like New Relic.
- Competence with incident management tools such as ServiceNow.
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate collaboration across multiple teams and business units.
- Strong familiarity with GitHub; knowledge of GitHub Actions is advantageous.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
