Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret ClearanceTravel Requirements: NegligibleLocation: Norfolk, VASummary: WR's GeoNavigation Technologies Division has an opportunity for a Software Engineer, Principal for a Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) software engineer for the design of GPU intensive Geospatial / Geographical Information Systems (GIS) using advanced programming languages. Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: Improve and develop new and existing software stack. Design and implement highly optimized software libraries, tools, and Application Programming Interface (APIs) for real-time computer graphics and general purpose computing. Collaborate with hardware engineers to review the spec and verify correctness and efficiency of the implementation. Communicate with game studios, critically analyze current real-time rendering, content creation pipelines, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to find areas for new development. Analyze runtime performance data collected.Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and Experience: Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related scientific discipline. Fifteen (15)years of professional experience. Background in Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) programming.
