Intern - Software Engineering Analyst Department - Market Administration and Auctions Minimum Education Level: Senior Preferred Majors: Electrical Engineering or Economics Department Description: The Market Administration & Auctions department is responsible for operating the Day Ahead and Real Time Markets, as well as running various market auctions including Financial Transmission Rights (FTR), Forward Reserve Market (FRM) and Forward Capacity Market (FCM). The department is also actively involved in the market and system operations analysis, process improvement, and software improvement by participating in developing, testing and implementing software changes. What will you be working on: In this role, you will assist in in-depth software testing, ad hoc analysis as well as administrative duties. You will help to establish training process and documentations and be exposed to the core production duties of the Market Administration and Auctions Department. How will you make an impact: Through this internship, you will learn the core wholesale market functions that the ISO is running, and develop skills necessary for a business analyst. What we look for in a candidate: Experience with SQL query on relational database, i.e. Oracle Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (For EXCEL, VB programming and use of complex functions such as pivot table) Experience with Atlassian Confluence software To be eligible for the internship candidate must have completed at least the first year of college and be currently enrolled in a four year or graduate-level academic program.
