We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with a strong background in SQL, Java, Python, and AWS services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for automation testing and expertise in cloud-based data processing environments. You will work closely with software developers, data engineers, and product teams to ensure the quality and reliability of our systems.

Rate: $60 to $65hr w2
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test cases using Java and Python.
Create and execute complex SQL queries to validate data integrity and transformation in data pipelines.
Develop and implement test strategies for AWS services such as EMR, Redshift, Athena, and RDS.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and define test coverage.
Perform API testing, functional testing, integration testing, and regression testing.
Identify, report, and manage defects in a structured manner.
Optimize and automate processes for testing large-scale data platforms and cloud applications.
Monitor and troubleshoot data flows in AWS environments to ensure system reliability.
Participate in code reviews to ensure test coverage and code quality.
Qualifications
Required Skills
Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in Java and Python.
SQL Expertise: Advanced knowledge of SQL for writing, debugging, and optimizing queries.
AWS Services: Hands-on experience with EMR, Redshift, Athena, and RDS.
Test Automation: Experience building scalable test automation frameworks.
Data Testing: Familiarity with testing ETL pipelines and large-scale data platforms.
API Testing: Knowledge of tools like Postman, REST-assured, or similar frameworks.
Version Control: Proficiency with Git and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
Preferred Skills
Experience with big data processing frameworks like Spark or Hive.
Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, or other containerization tools.
Knowledge of monitoring tools like CloudWatch or DataDog.
ISTQB or similar testing certification is a plus.
